A skill is a folder of written instructions an AI assistant loads when it recognises the task. If you have a piece of work your office does the same way every time — a drawing issue sheet, a planning statement structure, a QA pass on a consultant's report — a skill is how you write that down once and have Claude follow it every time, instead of re-explaining it in every conversation.
Skill Creator is the skill for making skills. It walks the whole loop: capturing what you actually want, drafting the instructions, writing test cases, running them with and without the skill to see whether it made any difference, and tightening the description until the assistant reliably reaches for it at the right moment.
Why we list it. Most of the Skills in this index were written using it. If you want to build your own rather than download ours, start here.
What it costs you. It runs in Claude Code, which means a terminal. That is a real barrier if your office has never opened one. The skill itself is written for a wide range of technical familiarity, but the environment around it is not.
This is an external resource. It is maintained by Anthropic in the public anthropics/skills repository and is not hosted, modified or supported by ArchitectureLM. Check the licence file in the skill folder before using it in commercial work.
